EURASIAN FASHION WEEK holds an international competition for young designers. Among the participants will be awarded: 3-week summer courses at IED Milan, participation in the EURASIAN FASHION WEEK in 2027 and useful prizes from partners.
PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
Support for beginning designers, development of light industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan and attraction of specialized investments.
Promoting the principles of sustainable consumption and production.
THE TARGET AUDIENCE
Fashion enthusiasts aged 18+: beginners and professional designers, amateur designers, artisans.
THE THEME OF THE COMPETITION
«HUMAN TOUCH»
The Human Touch theme invites young designers to explore the beauty of craft and the power of individuality through fashion. This is a reflection on a person in a world where technology is increasingly influencing creativity and visual culture. Handmade, tactile materials, visible trace of the master and personal experience become the starting point for creating a collection.
Participants are invited to interpret the topic through:
— deconstruction and asymmetry as the language of the living and imperfect,
— manual techniques and visible traces of the author's work,
— tactility and texture of materials,
— emotional narrative through cut and details,
— a conscious and sustainable approach to creating clothes,
— a dialogue between traditional craft and modern technologies.
Each participant must present two images — male and female — using craft techniques: hand embroidery, patchwork, visible seams, fabric painting, tuxedo or other handcraft techniques.
Motivation letter on the topic of "HUMAN TOUCH"
The letter should contain your thoughts on the importance of manual labor and the interpretation of cultural heritage in modern fashion. Personal examples are welcome.
The list of finalists of the FASHION FOR FUTURE young designers competition will be announced in September 2026.
Finalists must confirm their participation and personal presence within 3 days of the announcement of the list by sending an email with their phone number to the post office. designers@eurasianfashionweek.com for further coordination.
PROCEDURE FOR THE COMPETITION
The competition is held in 2 stages:
• Application selecting;
• The final.

Intermediate (B1)
COMPETITION PROCEDUREStudents of higher education institutions in the field of design, light and textile industries, as well as young clothing design specialists, artisans and amateur designers aged 18 years and older are invited to participate in the Competition.
Applications are accepted.
June 1 to September 1, 2026

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Competitive works are evaluated by the jury according to the following criteria:
● Relevance of the idea, pret-a-porter style;
● Originality and creativity of design;
● Applying sustainable design principles;
● Technological and design quality of work;
● individuality and originality;
● technological and design implementation of the presented collection.
PRIZES
● 3-week summer courses at IED Milan;
● Free participation in the EURASIAN FASHION WEEK in 2027;
● Internship with a famous Kazakhstani designer Prizes from Partners.
