EURASIAN FASHION WEEK holds an international competition for young designers. Participation in the EURASIAN FASHION WEEK in 2025 and the opportunity to do an internship in one of the leading European fashion houses will be raffled among the participants.
PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
Support for beginning designers, development of light industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan and attraction of specialized investments.
Promoting the principles of sustainable consumption and production.
THE TARGET AUDIENCE
Fashion enthusiasts aged 18+: beginners and professional designers, amateur designers, artisans.
THE THEME OF THE COMPETITION
«FUTURE FOR CRAFTS: fashion codes of the past»
Each participant must present two innovative and stylish looks (one male and one female) based on upcycling with the integration of such craft techniques as patchwork and/or quilling.
The application must include sketches, a short description and a motivation letter in English or/and Russian on the topic “FUTURE FOR CRAFTS: fashion codes of the past”. Knowledge of English is a necessary requirement in order to qualify for some prizes from the Competition Partners.

PROCEDURE FOR THE COMPETITION
The competition is held in 2 stages:
• Application selecting;
• The final.

COMPETITION PROCEDUREStudents of higher education institutions in the field of design, light and textile industries, as well as young clothing design specialists, artisans and amateur designers aged 18 years and older are invited to participate in the Competition.

February 15 – June 1, 2025

The list of 10 finalists is announced by the Organizing Committee on the competition website http://fff.eurasianfashionweek.com/

Finalists must confirm their participation within 3 days from the announcement of the list (until June 18, 2025). The final date will be announced later.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Competitive works are evaluated by the jury according to the following criteria:
● Relevance of the idea, pret-a-porter style;
● Originality and creativity of design;
● Applying sustainable design principles;
● Technological and design quality of work.
● individuality and originality;
● technological and design implementation of the presented collection.
