EURASIAN FASHION WEEK holds an international competition for young designers. Participation in the EURASIAN FASHION WEEK in 2024 and the opportunity to do an internship in one of the leading European fashion houses will be raffled among the participants.
PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
Support for novice designers, development of light industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan and attraction of specialized investments.
THE TARGET AUDIENCE
Fashion enthusiasts aged 18+, beginners and professional designers.
THE THEME OF THE COMPETITION
Upcycling for Future
Each participant must create two eco-friendly looks based on old clothes (used). Old textiles, recycled plastic, electronic waste, etc. can be used to transform the looks. Finished products must be of good quality.
Welcome:
1. Ecological textiles and bio / natural materials.
2. Recycled materials.
3. Innovative textiles and digital printing on fabrics.

Level of English
Intermediate (B1)
Students of higher educational institutions in the field of design, light and textile industry, as well as young fashion design specialists and amateur designers aged 18 and over are invited to participate in the Competition.
Applications are accepted from
June 20 to September 28, 2023*

Semi-finalists are selected from
September 1 to 28, 2023*
The list of 10 finalists is announced by the Organizing Committee on the contest website http://fff.eurasianfashionweek.com/
Oktober 5, 2023*
in Almaty. Date of Semi-final can be changed.
Semi-finalists must confirm participation
in the final within 3 days.
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
Competitive works at stage 1 are evaluated by the jury according to the following criteria:
• relevance of the idea, pret a - porter style;
• individuality and originality;
• technological and design implementation of the presented collection.
PRIZES
• one scholarship to study at IED Barcelona in the summer of 2024;
• internship with a famous Kazakh designer;
• an internship in one of the leading European Fashion Houses (the choice of a participant from the finalists is at the discretion of the Fashion House);
• creation of a collection for the NOSIMOYO brand.
